Intro
Founded from Anthony and his family’s commitment to help deserving students pursue higher education locally, the Anthony Muñoz Foundation Scholarship Fund awards multiple $20,000 scholarships to selected Tri-State high school seniors who plan to attend a nearby college or university.
Important dates
Applications for the 2026 Scholarship Fund will be accepted beginning Thursday, January 1, 2026 and the deadline to apply is Friday, April 24, 2026.
How recipients are chosen
Applicants participate in an interview process. Finalists are selected based on demonstrated financial need, academic achievement, perseverance in the face of adversity, and a strong drive to succeed.
Required application materials
Applicants must submit the following items with their application:
- The Anthony Muñoz Foundation scholarship application form
- A personal essay
- College or university acceptance letter (if available)
- College or university student ID number (if available)
- Official high school transcript covering the student’s entire high school record, current as of the application submission date
- Current family financial documentation, including the Student Information Summary from the student’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) account
Eligibility
To be considered for an award, applicants must meet these requirements:
- Be enrolled at a high school within the Foundation’s Area of Impact
- Plan to enroll as a freshman for Fall 2026 at an eligible Tri-State college or university (lists of eligible and ineligible schools are provided below)
- Demonstrate financial need and a willingness to overcome challenges
