AAUW San Ramon Branch Scholarships

Introduction
Since its founding, AAUW San Ramon has supported women and girls in pursuing higher education. The branch raises funds for scholarships for local high school seniors and for the Renaissance Scholars program at California State University, East Bay. Since 1983, AAUW San Ramon has awarded scholarships to more than 200 young women.
2026 Scholarship Award
For 2026, AAUW San Ramon will once again award $1,000 scholarships to deserving high school girls who plan to enroll at an accredited college or university in Fall 2026.
Eligibility
- Must identify as female and be either a resident of San Ramon or a student at a San Ramon high school.
- Must be planning to attend an accredited four-year college or university in Fall 2026.

- Application deadline: March 27, 2026
Selection Criteria
Scholarships will be awarded based on:
- Academic performance
- Educational and career goals
- Involvement in community and/or campus activities
- Demonstrated alignment with AAUW’s mission
Application Process
- Apply online using the Google Form provided (link available from AAUW San Ramon).

- Finalists will be notified and scheduled for an interview.

Please be ready to upload the following as PDF files:
- High school transcripts
- Copy of college acceptance letter
- Personal statement
- Two (2) letters of recommendation (teachers, school staff, or employers are preferred)
Letters of Recommendation
- Two letters are required for every application.
- Recommenders may either upload letters as part of the applicant’s Google Form submission or submit their letters directly via the Letter of Recommendation Google Form.
- Each letter should address:
- How long the recommender has known the applicant
- The context in which they know the applicant
- Reasons the applicant deserves the scholarship
- Any special circumstances the committee should consider
