Junior League of San Joaquin County — 2025–2026 Scholarships
Overview
The Junior League of San Joaquin County invites qualified applicants to apply for our annual scholarship program for the 2025–2026 academic year. These awards are intended for female students who plan to pursue postsecondary education and who have demonstrated significant commitment to volunteer service. Each scholarship is $1,000; up to five awards will be given this year (totaling up to $5,000).
Who may apply
- Female high school seniors graduating at the end of the 2025–2026 school year.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Applicants must be residents of San Joaquin County.
- Relatives of JLSJC Provisional, Active, Sustainer, Honorary, or Advisory Board members are ineligible.
Award
- Five (5) scholarships of $1,000 each will be awarded.
Application deadline and submission
- All application materials must be emailed to scholarships.jlsjc@gmail.com by March 13, 2026.
- After submission, applicants will receive an email confirming receipt.
- Scholarship recipients will be notified by email on or before May 6, 2026.
Application requirements (all items required)
1. Completed application form (page 2 or equivalent).
2. Official high school transcript.
3. Essay: 400–500 words, double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12-point font. Prompt: Describe your volunteer activities during high school and explain why volunteerism matters in our community.
4. Two letters of recommendation:
- One from an agency or organization where you performed volunteer work.
- One from a high school teacher or guidance counselor.
5. Community Service Form documenting at least 50 volunteer hours (page 3 or equivalent).
6. Recent photograph.
Incomplete applications will not be considered.
