Overview
The Napa County Hispanic Network (NCHN) supports high-achieving Latino students from Napa County who demonstrate financial need and academic promise. For more than 40 years NCHN has provided scholarships to Napa County Latino students. Awards are decided on the basis of merit and financial need and range from $1,000 to $2,500.
Who may apply
High school seniors and current college students who meet the stated requirements on the application are invited to apply.
Application period
January 28, 2026 through March 20, 2026
Eligibility requirements
- Hispanic heritage and either living in Napa County or having a family residence in Napa County.
- Immigration status: U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, DACA, or undocumented (Si Se Puede* programs) applicants are eligible.
- Academic requirement: minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school, undergraduate, and graduate/professional applicants.
- Enrollment plan: intend to enroll either full-time or part-time for the 2026/2027 academic year at an accredited U.S. institution (public, private, not-for-profit community college, four‑year college/university, graduate school, or trade school).
- Recommendation: one letter of recommendation must be submitted through the online application.
Recommendation instructions
Notify your chosen recommender at least two weeks before the application deadline. Recommenders will receive a submission link through your application; letters must be completed and submitted via that link. Do not submit recommendation letters separately (for example, by email or postal mail).
