Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship Sponsored by Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation
The Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation provides financial aid opportunities to individuals diagnosed with a bleeding disorder, as well as parents of children with such disorders. These scholarships are generously funded by the Huey & Angelia Wilson Foundation.
The Wilson Traditional scholarship, delivered through the Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation, is designed for students living with a bleeding disorder who are yet to secure a bachelor's degree. This scholarship allows such students to further their education in an in-state university, community college, or trade school. It is vital to note that only accredited and approved programs are eligible.
The Wilson Non-Traditional Scholarship is another initiative funded by the Wilson Foundation. This scholarship caters to students with a diagnosed bleeding disorder who have already obtained a bachelor's degree and are aiming for higher education. Parents of a minor child diagnosed with a bleeding disorder can also apply for this scholarship.
The Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation's scholarship amount varies each semester, ranging from $250 to $500, contingent on the available funds.
The deadline for scholarship applications is July 22. For detailed information on scholarship requirements, please refer to the General Scholarship Information page. For any queries, contact the Louisiana Hemophilia Foundation office at (225) 291-1675.
Additionally, the foundation has established specific deadlines for scholarship applications: Spring (December 22) and Fall (July 22).
