Louisiana FB Scholarships
Scholarship Sponsored by Louisiana Farm Bureau Foundation
Introduction We are committed to keeping agriculture in the hands of future farm and ranch families. To support that mission, we established a tax-exempt foundation that provides scholarships to students pursuing agricultural fields. The first two awards were made in 1993; since then we have granted 191 scholarships—totaling nearly $500,000—to assist high school graduates as they begin college. 2025 Awards In May 2025, we will select up to five scholarship recipients from applications submitted through parish Farm Bureaus. Each 2025 winner may receive up to $3,000 for the 2025–2026 academic year. Scholarship amounts can vary from year to year. Selection Criteria Recipients will be chosen based on: - academic performance and ACT scores; - demonstrated leadership in high school and the community; - involvement in designated parish and state Farm Bureau activities; - demonstrated financial need. Renewal and Duration Winners who continue to meet academic and curriculum standards may reapply each year to receive funding for up to four consecutive academic years. If a recipient graduates early, any remaining scholarship payments will end unless the student immediately enrolls in graduate studies in an agricultural field. Who Should Apply / Eligibility We invite graduating seniors of 2025 who plan to major in agriculture, agricultural education, agribusiness, agriscience, or another agriculture-related discipline to review the eligibility requirements and submit an application if they qualify. An individual applicant may submit an application to only one parish Farm Bureau. Each parish Farm Bureau may forward one applicant for consideration as a state winner. If you meet these requirements and intend to pursue an agricultural major, please complete the 2025 application through your parish Farm Bureau.
