Introduction The American Respiratory Care Foundation offers an award of up to $1,000 in memory of Jimmy A. Young, former AARC president, who was a major supporter of respiratory care education. While the Foundation prefers that a school official or an accredited respiratory training program submit nominations, individual students may also initiate an application so that qualified candidates are not excluded if their program does not submit on their behalf. Candidates who are of minority background will receive preference. Overview The American Association of Geographers (AAG) administers a national scholarship program for students enrolled at U.S. community colleges and other two‑year institutions who intend to transfer and continue their studies as geography majors.
